Why do kids need to see a chiropractor?

Clarendon Chiropractic

The #1 reason children see a chiropractor is for wellness. Many parents nowadays choose to be proactive with their children’s health, rather than reactive. This fits perfectly with our wellness-based functional chiropractic model, which is proactive and preventative. Many parents bring their newborn infants into Clarendon Chiropractic after leaving the hospital, even before going to the pediatrician.

Other common reasons for a child to see a chiropractor include difficulty nursing, colic, and ear or sinus infections. These conditions are often caused by problems with the upper neck that were likely caused by birth trauma, such as C-section or forceps delivery. Parents also bring their kids into a chiropractor for cold and flu care, along with other common illnesses.

We also care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, ADD, ADHD, sensory processing disorder and learning disabilities. Since chiropractic care seeks to restore balance and proper function to the nervous system, our younger patients often experience life-altering changes!
